More important for the Government to fund Early Childhood Education?

Arwen asked:

I almost fell on my face. A national priority during a financial crisis is educating preschool kids? Obama sees funding Early Childhood Education, more important than National Defense? I thought the Constitution said that the Government’s primary purpose was to DEFEND it’s citizens, not educate 3 year children who should be at home with mommy or with a sitter. What is Obama thinking?

I found that answer shocking as well. It shows that he isn’t ready to lead this country.

Exactly. Obama wants a nanny state. No you little people of America, Govt. has all the answers. Govt. can do it better.

But of course his early childhood education includes sex education to Kindergarten.

I have to ask what world are you living in my dear??? The best education starts at a young age. The earlier the better. The young is the future so the better educated they are the better their future maybe. I agree with Obama with early childhood education. Maybe if more people were better educated and aware they wouldn’t be dealing with this financial crisis as hard so yes early educating is a good thing in my opinion.

This comment by Obama just grated on me. We wants Americans to be on the dole cradle to the grave. We do not need early childhood ed! The government can’t even do a good job with our K-12th grade children. What makes him think the government should be involved in the lives of our pre-school children. Just more of our money wasted on government programs. More government control. arrrgggghhh!

He must indoctrinate the youngest, most vulnerable of our citizens to his socialist way of thinking. Do it before they know anything about the world. Mao’s little red book changed a whole nations way of perceiving the world. It is not the monetary cost that scares me about his plan, but the brainwashing of our babies!
